We learnt that Belgenny Farm was an important farm in Australia's history. It helped to develop farming in Australia.

It was owned by John and Elizabeth MacArthur.

We learnt how to make butter by using a butter churn. The cream came from the cows on the farm. The handle is turned on the churn until it is thick and yellow. We got to eat the butter we had made on fresh bread.

We decided to take what we had learned about our history and show how dairy products are taken from dairy cows, milked by hand, then separated using a milk separator. The cream was put in a butter churn and turned into butter.

In HSIE, we have been learning about important landmarks in Australia. They reflect the country we live in and have an impact on our lives.

We painted the landmarks we had been studying onto the sides of our cows. We now have a herd of beautiful cows.

Please tap the cows!
