Risk measurement: determination of quantitative or qualitative value of risk related to a concrete situation and a recognized threat also called by the name hazard. Quantitative risk assessment requires calculations of two components of risk (R):1. the magnitude of the potential loss (L)2. the probability (p) that the loss will occur

A- Male Blocks are burnt B- Female Blocks are burntC- Both Male and Female Blocks are burntD- None of the Blocks are burnt

P(A) = 0.30P(B) = 0.25P(C) = 0.15P(D) = 0.30

Probability of either A or B get burnt P(A or B) = P(A) + P(B) – P(A and B) = 0.30 + 0.25 – 0.15 = 0.40

In KK5 there is already a well establish safety procedure in an event of an emergency like fire or whenever a student life is in danger, there is always an warden or a doctor standing by to attend the danger thus the estimated probability of an incident to occur will have a lower score

P=0.40With the expected losses is estimated to be high, due to all the student belonging like laptops , hand phones and educational books which are very costly. One floor times with the total occupant plus the effect on the building itself all are estimated to amount at RM 500,000.00.

L= 500,000Therefore, R= 500,000 x 0.40 = 200,000
