THE BUSINESS SCHOOL

We now have a coherent business school, with its curriculum built around 3 core HND level programmes:

1. “COLLEGE IN A BOX”

• In this service we act as a technology, content and assessment instrument supplier to SQA Approved Centres.

• The products/services we supply include:

• Consultancy to achieve SQA Centre Status, if required

• Training of Staff

• Platform – to centre livery

• Content

• Initial assessments

• Sample delivery plans

• Tutor cost models

• Tutor/Assessor/Verifier operational model

COLLEGE IN A BOX: PARTNERS

PARTNER COLLEGES RECRUITED TO DATE ARE:

• UK: Bournville College, Millennium City Academy and West-Lothian College.

• Mexico: Universidad Filadelfia De Mexico, Veracruz.

• Singapore: Academy of Principals.

• Global: International Association of Accounting Professionals. • We expect 3 partner centres to become SQA Approved in

2014, recruiting students in 2014/2015.

• According to plans from IAAP they will reach 1000 students in our SQA and Satellite Centres by 2018.

2. “SATELLITE CENTRE IN A BOX”

• For those centres who do not wish to become an SQA Centre. The students are ours, supported by the Centre.

• Our productisation of this operation is similar to Colleges in a box:

• All assessments, into the future

• Opus defined delivery plans

• Negotiated tutor cost models

• Tutor/Assessor/Verifier operations

• All SQA communications and

interventions

• All student registrations; and all

data transfer to and from SQA

• Audit of systems against SQA;

• Adoption of Opus Operational

and Quality Manual

• Selection of staff; approval to

act as Assessor/Internal Verifier

• Training of Staff

3. OPUS LEARNING ONLINE COLLEGE

• As an approved SQA Study Centre, Opus also offers Opus branded programmes direct to students.

• We have support from the Scottish Government in the form of student grants from the Students Awards Agency for Scotland.

• We are currently recruiting students to start in the Autumn of 2014.
