•Provide parents with an opportunity to reinforce concepts•Provide information about school work

The purpose of homework for the teacher is to: •Check students’ understanding and application of content and skills taught •Adapt planning and pacing according to students’ understanding

Homework Guidelines

• Assigned Monday-Thursday nights• Between 30 minutes and 1 hour per night

(including reading) • Math• Spelling • Unfinished class work• Independent Reading *Minimum of 15 minutes per night, 5 nights per week. *Students must take 2 AR tests each month: 1 fiction book, 1 nonfiction book

Study Skills

• Create a study space at home without a TV and other distractions.

• Consistent daily homework time.

• Use the agenda to check on homework assignments.

• Access to a computer (Pearson Success and Weebly)

• Parents can schedule other conferences by emailing individual teachers whenever a question arises.
