ABOUT OUR CYBERSECURITY MASTER’S DEGREE
CYBERSECURITY PROGRAM INTRO
The MS in Cybersecurity Master’s Degree program at NYU Tandon will provide you with the critical knowledge and skills to become an expert in cyber security—the science of protecting vital computer networks and electronic infrastructures from attacks. The cyber security field is expected to generate many new jobs over the next decade, as companies across all industries continue to place top priority on safeguarding their data and information systems.
The program’s curriculum is developed and taught by NYU Tandon’s renowned faculty members, who are a blend of well known researchers in information security as well as practitioners who hold expertise in their field of teaching with strong IT security, and industry backgrounds.
CYBERSECURITY MASTER’S DEGREE
A recent Gartner report, Security in 2013 and Beyond, called the likeliest future state of information security as:
“A perpetual arms race, between hackers and criminals on one side and enterprises and
governments on the other side."
We train you in hacking skills, as well as defensive security.
Why Earn a Cyber Security Degree?
CYBERSECURITY MASTER’S DEGREE
“The Department of Homeland Security has been recruiting cyber security professionals from other agencies as well as from the private sector, but senior officials have called this a “zero sum game,” because there are not enough trained professionals coming into the field to meet demand. “There are not enough people to go around.” *
