Long jump

• The Long jump record was set by Mike Powell ( USA ) with a total jump distance of 8.95m.

• This record was set in 30 August 1991.

• The current world record bet the previous world record by a total of 5cm.

High jump

• The current world record was set 27 July 1993. The height was a total of 2.45m the man who set it was Javier SotoMayor ( cuba. )

• The previous record was 2.42m.

Pole vault

The long jump record was set by Sergey Bubka (Ukraine)in July 31 1994.

He bet his own record by 1cm.

Sergey Bubka has set an astonishing 17 world records, this is amazing because 14 are in a row.

Triple jump

• Jonathan Edwards ( Great Britain ) set two world records on 7 August 1995. His best jump is 18.29m beating his previous record by 13 centimetres.
