NTSE Exam NTSE Scholarship were started in 1963 in order to help talented students continue their studies by providing financial assistance, by the time it has emerged as one of the Nation’s most reputed as well as competitive scholarship examination. Under the National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) 1000 scholarships are offered every year and from all over India more than 300,000 students participate in the examination every year. NTSE is a Merit based scholarship offered to students who successfully clears both the stages of the NTSE Examination . Students from class 10 are eligible to participate in the examination and the scholarship is granted to the successful candidates from class 11 th till their Ph.D. There are no restrictions related to annual family income etc. In order to maintain the standards of the examination it is organized by National Council of Educational Research and Training under the aegis of Government of India. NCERT has developed its own system for smooth operations of the Examinations, 35 Liasion Offices play vital role in conducting activities related to the Examination. SAT: The syllabus for Mathematics, Science and Social Science will be from the prescribed syllabus of respective State Board from Standard 9th - 10th class.

MAT: The MAT section will contain general questions related to Mental Ability. Language: As per the respective syllabus of the state board books of class 9-10.

o Stage 2: The exam will be based upon the syllabus of class 9-10. Pattern of Exam: The following pattern will be followed while making the question papers for

the examination.o Mental Ability Test (MAT): 50 questions 50 markso Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT): 100 questions 100 marks (40 q from Science, 20 q from

math, 40 q from SST)o Language test: 50 questions 50 marks.
