Why We’re Here

Page 7: NSI 2014: Product Forum

Students have strong aspirations, but there is a disconnect between what students want to do with their lives and knowing how they will get there.

The Student’s Perspective

How Will I Get There?Once students figure out what they want to do, they have to determine how to get there

Who Am I?Many students struggle to identify areas of strength

What Do I Want To Be?Those who recognize their

skills are often unsure where to apply them

Will I Be Successful?Students want to know if

they will have the qualifications and skills to

reach their goals

What is StrengthsExplorer?

StrengthsExplorer assesses 10 talent themes and identifies each student’s three strongest emerging talents. It provides explanations of these themes, strategies for capitalizing on each, and action items to help students gain insight into their greatest talents – natural patterns of thought, feeling, and behavior – to leverage in the classroom and in life.
