Homework Pages I have brought this issue to the computer techs and to Anna since September. I understand that there are number

of priorities that have taking up time, however, I really feel that this now needs to be addressed, so I am writing to you.

Over the last two school years, I utilized our school web-page for a homework page for my class. This allowed me

to update information on a daily basis, link assignments and have an ongoing calendar that parents and students can view. My students and parents utilized this extensively. I would really like to have access to this tool again.

I have heard the arguments that Power School can do the same, however, I don’t feel that is the case. Here are a

few points:   ·         Having to log-in is a barrier to students checking the site. ·         Power School does not easily allow me to place calendars/weekly agenda updates. ·         Although I can link sites/assignments in Power School, this is more easily done in the Word edit format from

the web-page. ·         Parents can quickly access the web-page, whereas Power School requires  them to log-in each time   I truly feel that this is the best way for students and parents to check on assignments and upcoming events no

matter where they are in the world. I would appreciate having access to this tool again. Please let me know what I can do to make this happen.

  Regards,   S.R.

Support student teachers by assisting them to find accommodation or boarding. (Advertise and promote the need through meetings, school websites, staff email or newsletters.

Hold a welcome orientation meeting for the student teachers.Offer to interview student teachers. Agree to release partner teachers for four half day meetings.Select a social mentor for each cohort of practicum students –
