Library Book Review- Nonfiction

Your goal is to explore information related to your class and learn something in the process! You do

not have to read the entire book. Instead, you’ll explore the book looking for these things:

How does the book relate to what you have studied in class?

Be specific- “It is Chemistry” is not an answer. Better: “In class we learned about the principles of _______________, ________________, and __________________. Chapter 2 of this book shows

how those principles show up in everyday life.”

Provide 2 quotes or paraphrases from the book that correspond with things you have studied in class that you mentioned in the last blank.

Put parenthesis with the author’s name and page number after it, inside the punctuation, like this: “Blah blah blah” (Wheyton 45).

Construct an argument claim statement based on what you have read. (What can you PROVE from

this book? This cannot be a fact or facts; must require you analyzing the facts and producing

something more.
