Der Herr sah Menschheit war

vollkommen verdorben. Keiner

wollte von Gott etwas wissen,

niemand beachtete das Recht

und die Gesetze. Der Herr

sagte, »Ich werde die

Menschen und mit ihnen die

Tiere wieder vernichten! Es

wäre besser, ich hätte sie gar

nicht erst erschaffen.«

God looked down on the earth

and saw that people were

becoming more and more evil.

He was so sad that He said, “I

will destroy the people and the

animals that I have made. It

would have been better if I had

not created them."

Only Noah found

favor with God. This

is his story.

Nur Noah fand

Gnade beim Herrn.

Dies ist seine

Geschichte:

One day, God said to Noah, “I

am going to send a great flood

to cover the earth and destroy

all that I have made. Build an

ark for you and your family and

you will all be saved.”

Noah obeyed and did what

God commanded.

Eines Tages , Da sprach Gott

zu Noah: »Mit einer großen

Wasserflut werde ich die Erde

überschwemmen. Kein

Lebewesen soll verschont

bleiben, aber du und Ihre

Familie sollst überleben.«

Noah führte alles so aus, wie

Gott es ihm aufgetragen hatte.

Dann sagte der Herr zu Noah:

»Nimm von allen reinen Tieren je

sieben Paare mit

und von allen

unreinen nur je

ein Männchen

und ein

Weibchen! Bring

auch je sieben

Paare von allen

Vogelarten mit! «

Noah befolgte

alles genau so,

wie der Herr es

befohlen hatte.

Dann Noah und

seine Frau, seine Söhne und

Schwiegertöchter gingen in das

Schiff und der Herr schloss hinter

ihnen zu.

God then told Noah, “Bring seven

pairs of each clean animal and one

pair of each

unclean animal

on board the

ark. Also bring

in seven pairs

of each kind of

bird.”

Noah did as

God said. Then

Noah entered

the ark with his

wife, his sons

and his son’s

wives. Once

they were on board, God closed the

door.

Vierzig Tage lang fiel das Wasser vom Himmel. Die Flut stieg ständig an und

hob das Schiff vom Boden ab. Die Wassermassen nahmen immer mehr zu,

bis das Schiff auf dem Wasser schwimmen konnte. Bald waren sämtliche

Berge bedeckt.

Then it began to rain and it kept raining for forty days and forty nights. The

water rose and lifted the ark off the ground. The water kept rising and the ark

started to float. The water rose yet more, until even the highest mountains

were covered by the great flood.

Nur Noah und seine

Familie kamen mit

dem Leben davon.

Only Noah, his family

and the animals on

the ark survived.

Nach vierzig Tagen, der Regen

aufgehört und ging das Wasser

allmählich zurück. Noah ließ eine

Taube fliegen, um zu sehen, ob das

Wasser versickert war.

Aber die Taube fand

keinen Platz zum

Ausruhen, Darum

kehrte sie zu Noah

zurück.

Dann Noah wartete er

noch weitere sieben

Tage und ließ die

Taube erneut hinaus.

Sie kam zurück, mit

dem frischen Blatt

eines Ölbaums im

Schnabel. Da wusste

Noah, dass das Wasser fast

versickert war.

After forty days, the rain stopped

and the water gradually started

going down. Noah sent out a dove

to see if the water had dried, but

the dove

returned

because she

found no

place to land.

After a week,

Noah sent out

the dove again.

This time the

dove came

back with an

olive branch in

its mouth.

Noah knew

that there was finally dry land once

again.

Shortly afterwards Noah, his

family and the animals all left the

ark.

God blessed

Noah and his

sons. He told

them, "I am

putting a

rainbow in the

sky as a sign

of My promise

to never send

a flood of

water to cover

the whole

earth again."

Dann verließ Noah mit seiner Familie

und allen Tieren das Schiff.

Gott segnete Noah und seine Söhne

und sprach: »

Das ist mein

Versprechen:

Nie wieder

werde ich durch

eine Wasserflut

die Erde. Der

Regenbogen

soll ein

Zeichen

für dieses

Versprechen

sein. «
