The 1987 Constitution likewise guarantees the right to education of every

Filipino. It provided that, ‘The State shall protect and promote the right of all citizens to

quality education at all levels and shall take appropriate steps to make education

accessible to all.

The 2016 Division Implementation of Wellness Campus Program is a program

that should be given importance to reach all concerns and spread the wellness

message or increase awareness regarding health issues and the possible solution to

gradually solve health problems. The program will leave an “indelible ink” in the lives of

the pupils, teachers, parents and other stakeholders. The launching of the wellness

program was held at Sto. Niño Elementary School last August 31, 2016.

Successfully, all the indicated activities were done through the participation of

everybody. Health facts of different accessible and nutritious foods were very

informative and clearly stipulated on the modules given as guide in teaching the pupils.

The program aims to give high emphasis on the development of a healthy

lifestyle through nutrition education and physical fitness of the pupils. Filipinos have

deep regard to for education. Education occupies a central place in Philippine political,

economic, social and cultural life. It is always been strongly viewed as a pillar of national

development and a primary avenue for social and economic mobility. The program is a

Joint Project of the Department of Education and Nestle Philippines, Inc.

The program will be implemented by the DepEd and NPI, through GTI, in close

coordination with the DepEd Division Supervisor duly appointed by the DepEd Regional

Offices who will ensure that the Program will be implemented.

After the launching, the waiver was received and ready for the distribution to the

pupils for parent’s signing. The Nestle Representative visited the schools for the

distribution of the addition materials which includes 1 cd module, 1 teacher manual (gr.

WORKING WITH THE PUPILS

This is an unforgettable moment in the implementation of 2016 Nestle Wellness

Campus Program especially the dancercise activities. This is the time where so many things

need accomplishments and on how this program be done successfully.

Some were exasperation’s, other are challenges. They come altogether as part of the

activities and new experiences. School children in the public schools came from various social

and economic status quo. Hence, they are being brought up in different family background.

Teaching pupils in this kind of educational instruction using the TG in Wellness Program must

be well adjusted to cope with different individuals.

Perseverance, mutual understandings are things to be considered justly for the welfare

of the pupils to enhance a healthful lifestyle. The teacher/advisers are an essential part and

have an important role in molding the school children recipients of the wellness program. The

lessons in the nutrition modules are to be taught as integration on the different subjects

applicable into it.
