HOW DOES IT WORK?

Relating with the outside.

Brain

Nerves

Spinal Cord

Controls the body. It makes us think and remember.

Long fibres that transmit information around the body

Connects the brain with the nerves.

1st Senses get information (stimulus).

2nd Nerves send the information to the brain.

3rd The brain decides what to do.

4th Nerves send the brain order to the muscles.

5th Muscles do what the brain ordered.

SIGHT

HEARING

Eyes: Let us perceive colours, shapes and depth.

Parts

Ocular globe: main part of the eye.

Cornea: protects the eye.

Iris: controls the amount of light that gets into the eye.

Pupil: a hole where light gets into the eyes.

Lens: focuses the light that gets into the eye.

Retina: transforms the light into nervous signals.

Ears: Let us hear and help us keeping our balance.
