NARRATIVE REPORT ON THE SCHOOL- BASED CELEBRATION OF THE 2015 NATIONAL DEAF AWARENESS WEEK

By virtue of DepEd Memorandum No. 138 s. 2015, DepEd joins the celebration of the 2015 National Observance of the Deaf Awareness Week from November 10 to 16, 2015 pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 829, declaring the period from November 10-16 of every year as the Deaf Awareness Week.

The theme this year is “Making the Right Real: Promoting Inclusive Deaf- Friendly Communities.”

It is in this regard that the proponent would want to propose the conduct of a school- based celebration of said activity in order to intensify the advocacy for awareness and protection for children with special needs.
