Personality

The other is understanding how the various parts of a person come together as a whole.

Time Management

Time management is the act or process of planning and exercising conscious control over the amount of time spent on specific activities, especially to increase effectiveness, efficiency or productivity. Time management may be aided by a range of skills, tools, and techniques used to manage time when accomplishing specific tasks, projects and goals complying with a due date. This set encompasses a wide scope of activities, and these include planning, allocating, setting goals, delegation, analysis of time spent, monitoring, organizing, scheduling, and prioritizing. Initially, time management referred to just business or work activities, but eventually the term broadened to include personal activities as well. A time management system is a designed combination of processes, tools, techniques, and methods. Usually time management is a necessity in any project development as it determines the project completion time and scope.

Communication skills

Communication skills are some of the most important skills that you need to succeed in the workplace.

We talk to people face to face, and we listen when people talk to us. We write emails and reports, and we read the documents that are sent to us. Communication, therefore, is a process that involves at least two people – a sender and a receiver. For it to be successful, the receiver must understand the message in the way that the sender intended.

Honesty & Discipline

Honesty and Discipline are the fundamental virtues Honesty is the pillar on which the entire building of life rests. Lies,

bad behavior, stealing and shady deals are acid that slowly corrupt this pillar weakening it leading to erode it over the years.

Discipline is the book of protocols that we all imbibe from our family, school and surrounding people.

Types of Skin

•Normal skin •Dry skin •Oily skin

Page 21: My assignment

Normal Skin

Normal skin has an even tone, soft, a smooth texture, no visible pores or blemishes, and no greasy patches or flaky areas. This type of skin has a clear, fine-textured, supple and smooth surface which is neither greasy nor dry. It glows with an inner health which stems from good blood circulation and excellent health. There may be occasional pimples in women just before menstruation due to increased hormonal activity, which makes the sebaceous glands overactive. Acne is, however, not a problem for people with normal skin.

It is beautiful, but it needs care if it is to last. Neglect can lead to signs of aging and wrinkling.

Page 22: My assignment

Dry Skin

Dry skin has a low level of sebum and can be prone to sensitivity. The skin has a parched look caused by its inability to retain moisture. It usually feels "tight" and uncomfortable after washing unless some type of moisturizer or skin cream is applied. Chapping and cracking are signs of extremely dry, dehydrated skin. Dryness is exacerbated by wind, extremes of temperature and air-conditioning, all of which cause the skin to flake, chap and feel tight. This type of skin is tightly drawn over bones. It looks dull, especially on the cheeks and around the eyes. There may be tiny expression lines on these spots and at the comers of the mouth.

Page 23: My assignment

Oily Skin

Oily skin is caused by glands that produce too much sebum, resulting in skin that has a greasy slippery texture, appears shiny and is frequently has large, clogged pores. Oily skin types are prone to develop acne, a condition resulting from sebum trapped inside the skin and causing pus-filled lesions known as comedones. Despite these drawbacks, oily skin generally remains younger looking and more supple over time than other skin types. Oily skin benefits from periodic herbal steam treatments and clay

masks.

Care for normal skin

The only care this skin requires is cleaning it twice a day with a mild baby soap and water and toned with something mild, like rose water.

At night, to keep your skin's normal moisture- balance apply a thin film of home-made moisturizer.

Any time your skin becomes slightly oily or slightly dry in any area correct these tendencies by following the advice given regarding these types of skin.

Follow every cleansing with a mild freshener to keep pores tight and to remove traces of cleanser clinging to the skin. Use an astringent with a low alcohol content.

Avoid direct heat on the face-including that from blow dryers. Always use a mild, oil-based moisturizer under makeup to help retain surface moisture. Guard against the drying, aging effects of the sun by using makeup products that

contain a sunscreen. Once every two weeks, stimulate the circulation and smooth the surface of the skin by

using a nondrying mask.

Tip 1:

1 tsp of milk cream with2-3 drops of lime juice mixed well. This should be applied 10 minutes before a bath. It reduces the dryness and also is good when applied in Winter.

Care for oily skin

Almonds and honey. The luscious combination of succulent almonds and sweet honey works well as a gentle facial scrub for removing oils and dead skin cells. Mix a small amount of ground almonds with honey to make a paste. Gently massage the paste into your skin with a comfortably hot washcloth. Rinse with cool water.

Baking soda. Be abrasive, but in a mild way. Liquid soap users can add 1/2 teaspoon baking soda into the mixture. Rub gently onto oily areas such as the nose and chin. This gentle abrasive works well in getting rid of blackheads as well as oil. Rinse with cool water.

Types of Hair

Hair is usually classified into four types :-NormalDryOilyCombination

Page 29: My assignment

Normal Hair Care for normal hair

Use natural shampoo to clean the hair.

Use coconut oil or mustard oil at least three times in a week.

Use medicated oils like 'Mahabhringraj oil', 'Amala oil' and 'Arnica oil'. Put oil on the scalp and massage gently in the roots of the hair.

Do regular physical exercise.

Page 30: My assignment

Dry Hair

Dry Hair is due to inactive oil glands. It is also caused by other factors like over exposure to the sun, using harsh shampoo and chemical treatment. Accumulated oil, block the pores not allowing the oil to flow on to the surface. This is another reason for dry hair. Dry hair would need plenty of nourishment.

Page 31: My assignment

Oily Hair

This is usually accompanied with oily skin. This is due to the over secretion of oil. Hence the scalp and hair gets too oily. Oily hair is easily recognizable. It looks greasy even after shampooing and and attracts more dirt.

The oily hair needs to be washed every third or fourth day or even more frequently depending on individual comfort and rinsed out with lemon. Use oils and shampoos rich in neem and henna. A head massage with a herbal oil helps maintain the pH level of the scalp. Avoid oily foods and binge on green leafy vegetables and fruits.

Combination hair

Combination hair — an oily scalp plus dry ends — can be a challenge. Tackle the dryness and you’re likely to add to the oiliness. But combating the oily scalp can dry out your ends. Here’s how to beat them both.

Care Tips: Use a mild PH balanced shampoo not more than three times a week to control

your oily scalp. Try running a little powder through your scalp to absorb the extra oil while using a

leave-in conditioner for the strands. This way you have absorbed the extra oil on your scalp but the dry strands are cared for with the leave-in conditioner.

Mix one spoon of shikakai powder to one cup of coconut milk. Massage your hair with it and leave it for 20 minutes. Wash your hair later to get soft, silky hair.

Mash some banana in one cup of curd. Apply it to your hair and leave for 15 minutes. It results in deep conditioning.

Warm up some coconut oil and put some lemon juice in it. Apply it to your scalp and massage well. This prevents dandruff, the common feature of dry hair.

Meditation

Meditation is universal. It transcends all divides like religion, country and culture. It is a gift given to mankind to access the infinite sprit not limited by any identity. It is the only tool that can aid a person to return to innocence.

Meditation helps an individual overcome these emotions to facilitate a calm peaceful mind and a healthy and stress free body.Upon daily practice an individual will blossom into an unshakable personality. With increase in the number of people who are calm, peaceful and healthy will facilitate a social transformation, enabling a society that is trusting, happy and content.

Sit in Padmasana then , Close your eyes and gently roll them upwards toward your “third eye”, the point just between and above your eyebrows. This helps calm the mind very quickly.

Breathe deeply in through the nose and out through the mouth. Don’t force your breath into any length of inhale/exhale; rather, become aware of it natural rhythm and be aware of the process of relaxation as your breath becomes deeper and slower. Bring all of your attention to your breath. Feel and hear your breath as it goes in and out; be mindful of the pause in between breaths. You’ll notice that as you focus on your breath, your mental chatter starts to slow down.

USE LEMON FOR BEAUTIFUL SKINFor brighter, softer skin use fresh lemon juice on any area of your body, including the knees, elbows, and face to brighten up and soften your skin. Lemon juice also fades freckles and age spots by applying lemon juice on the areas before going to bed at night. Over the course of a week or two, it will cleanse the skin and lighten its color.
