• Thank you and welcome!• Growing up as a teacher with technology- my

background.• Look out! I am self-taught. (Most techs are!) • Old ways of pages vs. new. No more HTML!• I am a learner just like you. (Try stuff!) • I also know things (like you do!) and like to share. • Arrow means handout available!

Today’s Goals!

• To foster pride in what we are already doing.• To look at our past and ideas for the future.• To understand why a teacher website is

important.• To learn some basics of an OnCourse page.• To learn Do’s & Don’ts• To learn more ways to integrate technology in

the future through our pages and more!

• 38 people quickly responded to the survey!• 17 were K-4; 15 were 5-8; 5 were K-8

Survey Says!“CBAM”

• Did you guess that the first two questions were for my PSU Class?

• “CBAM” means “Concerns-Based Adoption Model.”

• CBAM can help us figure out where we are on a continuum of change- and after all technology is constantly changing.

Page 7: Mt. Ephraim Technology Presentation 2-17-12

Mt. Ephraim Self-Assessment

• Shows that the staff has a middle to high level of adoption of technology ideas.

• It show that the staff has a lot of routine use of technology.

• Further questions show that there are concerns about change- how to do it even if wanted to. And how much time and support it would take.

Staff Websites on OnCourse

• 50/50. However some probably do not need websites.

• Some have not had time and need some help getting started.

• Some need some time or help updating.• Some want to do more with web technology

and want to learn how. • Results available including PIE CHARTS!
