The WC Student Book Club met and discussed their favorite titles to recommend for summer reading. They also planned and enjoyed a Game Night after school in the library as a year-end activity.

The WC Faculty Book Club—Read Between the Lions, met and discussed their book choice, The Fault in our Stars, led by Maria Rodriguez. The final meeting will be June 5th, and each member is encouraged to bring their 3 favorite books to share as recommended titles for summer reading and potential future book club selections.

A breakfast reception was held in the library for students who received the Presidential Volunteer Service Award and their parents.

The National Art Honor Society induction ceremony was held in the library one evening after school.

An athletic scholarship signing took place before school for a Churchill Golfer.

Ms. Smith’s classes worked on brainstorming for a writing assignment in Spanish

III. They accessed a website to gain background knowledge and then brainstormed

using a graphic organizer to record their notes on Legend Writing. They were also

responsible for creating an outline in Spanish for their legend.

Dr. Wulfsberg’s Senior English classes visited the library to work on their

resume/cover letter assignment. They were provided a LibGuide with various

resources with tips, suggestions, and templates to complete their task. Students

were instructed on the use of templates in Microsoft Word, and in uploading their

files into their Google Drives.

their Google Sites. Group members created and shared access to the site, and

ultimately shared these with Ms. Charlton.

Ms. Collenback’s English I classes researched issues in the SIRS Issues

Researcher database in preparation for writing their persuasive essays. Computers
