  • Lebanon is a small country (10 452 km2), located in the Near East Fertile region where domestication of species started ten thousand years ago.

    Lebanon Characterize by a climatic diversity ranging from semi-arid to humid, that allow for a large number of plant genetic resources to live

    Lebanese flora counts 2,600 species with 12% endemism: 8.5% are broadly endemic to Lebanon, Syria and Palestine and 3.5% strictly endemic to Lebanon;
