Pre – requisites

A year is usually divided in four seasons:- Spring, Summer, Autumn, Summer and winter.

Reasons behind the change of season are the difference in the availability of sunlight and difference in the length of

day and night.

Summer and spring occurs in hemisphere when the sun shines vertically in that hemisphere. In this season the

length of the day is more than 12 hours.

At the same time other hemisphere where the sun is not vertical experience autumn and winter.

Northern hemisphere, southern hemisphere, inclination, revolution, axis.

Seasons

Knowledge about seasons.

Compare our season with other parts of northern hemisphere.

Analyse now the rotation of the earth and inclination of the sun causing the seasons.

Interest for studying seasons.

Chart, globe

Pupil felt different seasons and they have knowledge about specialities of different seasons.
