• I have enjoyed home schooling my children for 9 years, and I love how Suzuki “fits” home schooling. I model for you weekly how to be the daily home teacher, and you take notes on your child’s lesson. Your presence at classes is vital for these reasons. Your role gradually decreases for the 11-13 year old, becoming more optional by age 14+. Musical experience not needed, just a notebook & enthusiasm!

MATERIALS NEEDED FOR VIOLIN Beginners: Suzuki CD, Suzuki book, notebook. Details after enrollment or at start of class. Advancing students: New music and materials occasionally needed; individually determined. Instruments for all: Consult with me for sizing & recommendations before buying or renting. (Beware of VSO’s!) Beginners age 3-8 do not need a real violin until shortly after instruction begins. Instruments are available to purchase beginning around $150, or for rental beginning around $16/mo. A limited number of rentals are available through me beginning at $9/mo.
