PRESENTADOR 2. Up next on stage we have: USES OF WATER

NAHOMY: Water is everywhere—in the sky, in the ground, and in our homes—and we use it every day. It’s good for drinking, for washing, for cleaning, for swimming, and for lots of other things. We use water to produce electricity for our houses and electrical appliances, fight fires and create beautiful water art in fountains.

CAMILA S: Every living thing needs water. We need to drink at least eight glasses a day to stay healthy. That is because about 70 percent of our body is water. Water helps to keep our bodies healthy inside and out!

DANIELA U:People use water in many ways. We travel on water, fish and play in it, cook and keep cool with it, clean our homes, wash the dishes, wash the clothes and take a shower or a bath in water.

AÑO 2070VIEJITA: Viejito, detente. Ya tomaste tu vaso de agua.

VIEJITO: Si hijita, ya lo sé. Pero me estoy muriendo de sed. Por favor regálame aunque sea una gotita.

VIEJITA: Te acuerdas cuando vivíamos en el año 2010, y te decían no te bañes una hora porque había crisis de agua?

VIEJITO: Ay! Si, estoy arrepentido. Pero una gotita de agua por favor.

VIEJITA: Y además nos decían que cerremos el grifo mientras nos lavábamos las manos o lo dientes?

VIEJITO(Fernando): Si, si, ya lo sé. Pero te suplico regálame una gotita aunque sea.

VIEJITA: Nada. Esto es ahora para nuestros niños.

NIÑO: Cierto abuelito que te bañabas una hora. Ahora sólo podemos bañarnos frotándonos el cuerpo con un poco de aceite mineral. Debe haber sido hermoso bañarse con agua!

VIEJITO: Así fue hijito. En el año 2010, siempre nos exigían ahorrar el agua. Pero nadie hacía caso.

VIEJITA: todos la desperdiciábamos, lavando el auto con manguera, jugando carnaval con agua potable.

VIEJITA: Que tiempos aquellos! En todas partes estaban los anuncios “Cuida el agua”, pero nadie hacía caso; pensábamos que el agua jamás se iba a terminar. Y toda la gente botábamos basura a los ríos y lagos. Y ahora todos ellos están contaminados.

NIÑO: No permitamos que ésta dramatización se convierta en una realidad. En nuestras manos está defender este recurso vital. EL AHORRO DEL AGUA ES UN PROBLEMA DE TODOS, Y TUYO TAMBIENTODOS: CUIDEMOS EL AGUA.
