• Estimated Time: 90 minutes

• Objectives:• Students will learn about different facial

expressions and how to illustrate them. • Students will be able to connect to how Snow

White’s stepmother’s happy disguised expression deceived Snow White and allowed her to believe she was a good person.

• From this, students will be able to identify strangers and learn not to trust them based off of how “nice” they look.

Guided Activity

• After students practice in their seats with one another…

• Have students volunteer to come up in front of the class to make each one of the different faces

• While they are up there point out how each facial expression has different shapes of eyebrows, nose, mouth, eyes, etc.

• Have a lesson on a different culture that creates masks. You could teach the students the history of the culture and why they have masks and how they are made. This could even tie into a time when your school has Heritage day.
