MIND MAP OF GENRE Super-Natural: The vampire idea conform to the super-

natural idea and does fix the contentions, how the vampires are not the villains but the victims

Horror: The only horror in the movie is the fact that innocent vampires are being killing and deposed of, the horror factor in our movie does not fix the conventions of other horror movies.

Thriller: Our movie will have killing, but it would not be shown due to the element of mystery. The thriller concept does conform to the idea of death being apart of the cycle, however due to our target audience we minimise on the death factor.

Mystery: The concept of mystery is beneficial for our two minute opening title sequence, as it make our audience more active and question what is going on therefore becoming more engaged in the movie and waiting for the secrets to be reveals and final putting the pieces together.

Teen drama: Our movie is a 12A rated movie, and the main character is a teenager and therefore it is a great way to pulling our target audience.

Why choose those Genres

When coming up with idea and trying to plan a movie that only has to be two minutes of the opening title sequence, I had to be very discrete on the message that we wanted to send to our target audience. Once I choose the concept of vampires, I imminently knew that there had to be a chasing scene. The chasing scene has a thematic link to the title of the movie ‘HUNTED’, the word hunted can indicate anything and creates a sense of mystery. Therefore the chasing scene make the audience more active in a way that everything happening on the screen is question as they only get a sample of the movie.

The idea of a chasing scene in a horror/ thriller movie does conform to the stereotypical idea are uses in a lot of horror movies, however this convention does get the audience to be more active and less passive when watching the movie.

Genres

The thought of vampires and the superiority and power that a vampire is seen to have are used to contradict to the proposal of being hunted. This leads to not only the target audience watching the movie as well as compelling others it watch the movie as the title of the movie might not be discrete as to who is being hunted. Therefore the individual wanting to go an what it, leaving a bit of mystery behind.

The fact that a horror/ thriller movie but together along with a super-natural world was I through the at could not be abandoned.

Furthermore the concept of a teen drama, is the perfect way to pull our target audience in and appeal to their apatite

Idea for Music

In terms of music the conventions we used and want for the movie is similar to other movies. As we to match the pace of the opening title and the will be many flashes back and forth to different scene to and dramatic effects. The type of sound that we will be using is diegetic. Music is a contract for which the visuals can interpreter, therefore we have to be careful with the message we are send. As music can also determine the emotions of characters.
