Fondazione GraphiTech @ Fraunhofer HHI & Hasso-Plattner Institute in Germany27 May 2014
GraphiTech research team went to visit Fraunhofer Heinrich Hertz Institute in Berlin (Germany) on 27 May 2014, and the Hasso-Plattner-Institute in Potsdam (Germany). SLOPE project and the performed activities performed so far were presented.
Contact with TREES4FUTURE Project and consortium.
The project aims to integrate, develop and improve major forest genetics and forestry research infrastructures. BOKU is also part of the project.

Workshop 1
Workshop on Hyperspectral Imaging at BOKU-UFT 20/03/2015
A workshop on Hyperspectral Imaging was organized on 20 March 2015 at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences in Vienna (Austria). The workshop was very successful; it hosted 58 participants from 11 countries and was a real international, transdisciplinary and interdepartmental scientific event.

Workshop 2
Forest engineering: Making a positive contribution in Linz (Austria), 04-08/10/2015
250 researchers, practitioners and government officials from different countries are expected to share state-of-the-art knowledge of harvesting operations, with a focus on steep terrain. The meeting consists of a two day technical conference on new developments in forest engineering, followed by an optional one or two-day visit to AUSTROFOMA machine exhibition to watch innovative harvesting technology.

• Aim: Set up an advisory board in order to follow all project activities
• Output: D8.04, due M25; Presenting Industrial Advisory

Task 8.4 - Objective
• The main objective of this task is to involve industrial members from the forestry, agricultural and related logistics and machinery industry. The main activities of the advisory board will be interchange opinions and knowledge by means of meetings and discussions. This information will be used as inputs for the execution of the tasks defined in SLOPE project, and redefine them when needed.
• The Advisory board will be set up at an early stage (first project meeting) of the project in order to follow all the activities starting from the requirements analysis.
