Metaschool objective
The METASCHOOL project aims to improve the training of school teachers and school ICT staff on topics related to the organisation, sharing, use and re-use of digital learning resources that can be accessed online through learning repositories.. For Web 2.0 technologies is main focus on active using Wiki based principles. For geospatial technologies there are two selected cases. First use case is focused on utilization of GeoGame for educational purposes. Second is focused on utilization of freely available geospatial data, services and software for education purposes.

The GeoGame is GIS application for a common web-site visitor, who wants to check his/her knowledge.
The GeoGame gives you the opportunity to show your knowledge internet-wide.

OpenStreetMap (OSM) is a collaborative project to create a free editable map of the world.
The maps are created using data from portable GPS devices, aerial photography, other free sources or simply from local knowledge. Both rendered images and the vector graphics are available for download under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 2.0 licence
