XI JIAO (RHINO HORN) & AUTISM
The Phenylalanine connection?
An appeal from one mother to all the women
in China
From one mother to another I know that Chinese women have tough decisions to make regarding having children.
Country or city – Chinese mothers are famous for
their parenting – for producing children who
display academic excellence, musical mastery and professional success –
we call you the “Tiger Moms” – with no little envy.
I beg you to consider the side effects that certain TCM medicines may be having on your children – specifically Xi Jiao which is derived from the horn of the Rhinoceros.
You may not be aware that scientific analysis of rhino horn shows high levels of
phenylalanine - a neurotoxin that excites the neurons in
the brain to the point of cellular death.
Elevations of blood phenylalanine are dangerous for those with PKU (Phenylketonuria) an inherited
metabolic disease which results in mental retardation and has been linked
to AUTISM.
IN ONE RESEARCH PROJECT:Prenatal and Perinatal Risk Factors for Autism in ChinaXin Zhang,1 Cong-Chao Lv,1 Jiang Tian,1 Ru-Juan Miao,1 Wei Xi,1 Irva Hertz-Picciotto,2 and Lihong Qi3 School of Public Health, Tianjin Medical University, Tianjin, 300070 China
“There are many theories regarding the aetiology of autism, yet no clear consensus exists among professionals in Western medicine.
It has been postulated that semi-digested peptide chains form morphine which interferes with nerve transmission to the brain.
It is recognised that autistic children have an underdeveloped limbic system, which deals with sensory input and learning.”
So, whether the danger of excess phenylalanine is due to the genetic factor or excessive intake from TCM – the results could be tragic…
Are you willing to take the chance and live with the consequences?
Life has taught me that whether you call it Yin/Yan, Karma, or “Do unto others as you would have done to
yourself” ….. We cannot escape the consequences of our actions…
Teach your family to avoid use of animal parts in TCM where cruelty is involved – especially with regard to endangered species.
THE UNIVERSE WILL BLESS YOU!MAY ALL FAMILIES AROUND THE WORLD LIVE IN PEACE AND HARMONY!
