• When I finally settled in 1822 I was doing really good with my cotton and cattle. I invested $910.40, but I had to pay for lumber, crops, and cotton so I wasn’t done yet. When I was done with all of that I still had $310.40 left.

• I was still doing okay for the second year I was there.

After paying my yearly land payment I had $820.80, but I

still need to pay for my cotton, cattle, and lumber. When I

was done with paying everything I had $410.40 left.

• This year was a good year for cattle. I spent $410.40 on

crops and I did good on lumber but not that well on

cotton. After all my bank balance was $1120.4, so I was

doing very good.

• This year was a bumper cotton crop. I was doing very well

on crops, lumber, and cattle. After paying my yearly land

payment and my crops I had $715.40 left.

• I spent 315.40 on crops, and on my gross income I spent

650. I was doing really good, but for some reason there

was a high demand for lumber because there was a lot

of building.

My Town

• My town was San Felipe it was a really good place to

live. However I got $600 in the end so I had $1630.80.

The reason why I got $600 is because all the

businesses.

Conclusion

• After spending all this money on crops and everything. I

learned that its a lot and you can face some problems in

the end. I faced some problems like harsh winter and

Indian attacks. However I was happy I picked San Felipe

out of the whole Austin’s Colony.
