What are some choices you had to make yesterday?
Examples:• I had to decide what time to wake up.• I had to choose what to eat for breakfast.• I had to decide if I should study or play videogames.• I had to choose whether I should watch The Voice or American Idol.

Ex: I would rather (I’d rather) eat Pork and Rice because…
- I ate Mi Quang last night- It’s my favorite dish- my mom can cook it very well
What would you do if your parents gave you $100usd?

There are conditionals (0-3), but today, we’re going to focus on
ZERO CONDITIONAL
IF CONDITION RESULT SITUATIONPresent simple Present simple
If you heat water to 100 degrees Celsius, It boils Fact- universal
If I drink coffee, I get a headache Fact- personal
Structure: if + present simple, + present simple
The Zero conditional is used for things that are always true (Facts)

If Kim travels by plane…she flies in First Class.
FIRST CONDITIONAL (Future)Structure
If + present simple, + will
For example:
If she gets good grades, she will go to university.
We are talking about the future, but we use a present tense for the condition and will for the result. In this case, the person is sure about going to university.
If I win a million dollars…
If I win a million dollars…I’ll travel the world withmy family.
If I get a puppy for my birthday…
If I get a puppy for my birthday…I’ll be thehappiest woman in the world.
• We can also use May / Might to say that something is possible, but not certain.
Example:
If Amy doesn’t study for her exam, she may fail the class.
We’re not 100% of the result, but this is a possibility.
If you eat a lot of fattening foods…
If you eat a lot of fattening foods…you might gain weight.
(but sometimes, people who eat unhealthy, stay slim)
If you don’t study English well now...
If you don’t study English well now...you may regret it when you’re an adult.
