INT.BEDROOM-DAYTIME

SPLIT SCREEN MEDIUM CLOSE UP BIRDS EYE VIEW (LEFT SCREEN IN

COLOUR, AND RIGHT SCREEN IN BLACK WHITE)

Music plays: Daughter-medicine

FEMALE 1, FEMALE 2

Females 1+2 are both asleep, one facing left and one facing

right. Female 1 is wearing party clothes and has make up

smudges. Female 2 looks peaceful in a well lit room with no

make up.

FEMALE 1, FEMALE 2

At the same time, both females open their eyes. Both sit up

and look towards bedside table.

MEDIUM LONG SHOT

CLOSE UP OF MOBILE

FEMALE 1

Picks up mobile phone and read a text message that her

boyfriend wants to meet her( the audience does not yet know

who the text is from). Also sees a message saying "Great

party last night, have to do it again!"

FEMALE 2

Picks up mobile and it says that she has a meeting at

1.30pm. Then sees another message from her friend "Good luck

today, hope the treatment was successful."

CLOSE UP OF FEMALES’ FEET

Both females step out of bed. They then stand up whilst the

camera stays in the same still position. Both females then

walk past the camera. Camera is still on the feet. Walk out

the room and downstairs.

FEMALE 1

Walk into the kitchen

SHALLOW FOCUS CLOSE UP OF ALCOHOL BOTTLE LEFT

FEMALE 1

Reaches for alcohol bottle

Reaches for pills and glass of water

Takes a swig of drink

Swallows tablets down with drink of water

walk out of the kitchen and back up the stairs into the

bathroom

FEMALE 1

Picks up make up and starts applying it, in a joyful manor

FEMALE 2

Picks up face wipe and starts cleaning face, glares into

mirror

FEMALE 1

Tweeks hair

FEMALE 2

Re-arranges head scarf

CUT TO BEDROOM/ PAN FROM LEFT TO RIGHT

FEMALE 1, FEMALE 2

Both put socks and shoes on as they begin to get ready to

leave

CUT TO HALLWAY

FEMALE 1, FEMALE 2

Puts a coat on and opens the door to leave

EXT.BUS RIDE DAYTIME

FEMALE 1, FEMALE 2

On a bus ride looking out of the window

FEMALE 1, FEMALE 2

Depart from the bus and arrive at destinations. Female 1

arrives at park. Female two arrives at the hospital

FEMALE 1

hugs boyfriend as she arrives

FEMALE 2

Shakes doctors hand as she walks into room

FEMALE 1

Talks with boyfriend, can be seen to have an intimate

conversation. Female looks sad and upset as boyfriend seems

slightly annoyed and irritated as they break up

FEMALE 2

Can be seen talking to the doctor, she smiles as it is good

news as her cancer is terminated

FEMALE 1, FEMALE 2

Both start crying, female 1 sobbing cry female 2 happy cry

SCREEN COLOURS CHANGE, LEFT BECOMES BLACK AND WHITE WHILST

RIGHT IS NOW IN COLOUR

FEMALE 1

Opens front door and walks to kitchen,grabs alcohol and a

bottle of pills

FEMALE 2

Opens front door, goes into kitchen, Bins the bottle of

pills she took earlier

FEMALE 1

Goes upstairs and begins to trash room

FEMALE 2

Turns on radio and starts to dance with happiness

FADES INTO DARKNESS

SCENE FROM BEGINNING AGAIN

FEMALE 1, FEMALE 2

Female 1 sprawled out on bed holding alcohol bottle, eyes

open as she has sadly passed away from an alcohol overdose

Female 2 tucked into bed peacefully, can be seen to wake up

and smile
