Producer-Lawrence Gordon

The producer is responsible for overseeing every mechanical detail of the film: sets, costumes, locations. The producer sets up the budget, meets the payroll, and in short, does everything necessary for the director to walk on stage and say "Action."

Director-John McTiernan The Directordirects the action for the movie. He is in total control outside

administration things like paychecks. He tells the actors what to do, ensures the sets are right, establishes the camera angles, controls the lighting and has a say in the editing. Most actors and crew see a film in their roles aka "a small picture" but the director must see the movie in the "big picture" as the audience will see it.

Jobs in the radio station GENERAL SALES MANAGER=This person hires and supervises the sales staff, reviews programming for the

best sales opportunities, develops sales plans and goals, oversees billing, studies and understands the station's market and approves all sales promotion campaigns. Some stations have multiple levels of sales managers, including National, Regional and Local sales managers who focus on various aspects of sales.

MUSIC DIRECTOR=This person manages the station's music library and works with the program director in selecting new recordings to be played as they are submitted by record companies.

NEWS DIRECTOR=The news director runs the news department. The news director assigns stories to reporters on staff, monitors the wire service and is involved with identifying the important news issues within the community.

PRODUCTION DIRECTOR=The production manager assigns announcers, schedules studios, arranges recording sessions, produces commercials, and directs programs.

SPORTS DIRECTOR=This position is similar to the news director position. Sports directors often handle the play-by-play coverage of local sporting events. Stations that do a lot of sports sometimes hire a "color" announcer to complement the play-by-play talent.

TRAFFIC DIRECTOR=Collects data from other departments in order to prepare a minute-by-minute schedule for the broadcast day. The traffic person is the daily link between the sales department and programming department, keeping up-to-date commercial time availability.

SALES ASSISTANT=This position offers support to the sales staff and managers by handling much of the office work, including drafting proposals, which allows the sales staff to focus on meeting with clients and developing business.

BBC Radio is an operational business division and service of the British Broadcasting Corporation which has operated in the United Kingdom under the terms of a Royal Charter since 1927. The service provides national radio stations covering the majority of musical genres, as well as local radio stations covering local news, affairs and interests which also oversees online audio content.

Internet Radio is not regulated. In the UK it is necessary for a station playing recorded music to purchase two licenses; PPL and PRS. These licenses are slightly different but essentially they make sure that the artists that created the music we play get paid for doing so. We can provide details of our licenses if required.

Daily Echo The Southern Daily Echo, commonly known as the Daily

Echo or simply The Echo, is a local tabloid newspaper that covers the area of south-central Hampshire, England, including the city of Southampton. It is owned by Newsquest, the one of the largest publisher of local newspapers in the United Kingdom.

It was first published in August 1888 and celebrated its 120th anniversary in 2008. It is published from Monday to Saturday. There is one edition a day; Thursday and Saturday are job days, where all local job vacancies can be advertised.

The Echo is currently the only paid-for local newspaper which covers the city of Southampton, and is a politically neutral publication.

On Saturdays, the Daily Echo produced Sports Pink is also sold. This is used for the reporting of sport stories regularly involving local sports team Southampton Football Club. This is one of only three surviving 'pink papers' which used to be common throughout the UK.

Printing in the West began with Johannes Gutenberg and has undergone heavy technological change since then, with methods becoming cheaper and more efficient. These developments led to widespread literacy, with newspapers, books and magazines becoming available to the masses.The industry is changing rapidly even today; digital information (such as the Internet) has widely reduced the importance of printed-on-paper material.
