My magazine• The main genre that I have chosen is alternative rock with the sub genre indie rock. The reason why I have

chosen to do this type of rock is because I enjoy the music that the genre produces. From the research I have done, I know that the main audience that the magazines targets are ages that range from 17-30, I want to aim to target between these ages as I feel that I can relate to those who are at a similar age as me.

• I was inspired by the Rolling Stones magazine for the cover to have a close up of the chosen band/artist to be the main focus of my magazine. I’m going to try to make the cover simple, yet bold. However, to make my magazine different from Rolling Stones, I’m not going to have a section about films and TV programs as I want the magazine to only focus around the genre that I have chosen.

• When designing my magazine, I’m going to have the title of the artist/band underneath the face of them and make sure that the text is bold and colorful to catch the audience’s eyes. I will also have eye catching titles of bands around the picture of the artist/band and small previews of what will be inside, this will also be in my contents page.
