Questionnaire Analysis

Question 1 At first after creating the survey we asked a few people to fill it in via email but then eventually we put the link up on Facebook so anyone could fill it in. The results for question 1 show that more women than men took part in the survey. 13 women and 7 men resulting in a total of 20 responses.

The next question asked the participants what age bracket they were a part of; under 12 years old (0 responses), 12-17 years old (4 responses), 18-24 years old (9 responses), 25-34 years old (2 responses), 35-44 years old (2 responses), 45-54 years old (3 responses), 55-64 years old (0 responses) and 65+ (0 responses.) So the age bracket that answered the questionnaire most is 18-24 years.

This question asked people how often they go to the cinema from the options; weekly (1 response), fortnightly (1 response), monthly (3 responses), every few months (7 responses), every six months (4 responses), once a year (3 responses) and not at all (1 response.) This shows that people often go to the cinema every few months.

The fourth question asked who people generally go to the cinema with and the results showed that more people tend to see films with friends (12 responses) over than family (7 responses) and on their own (1 response.)

Question 5 Question 6

The results of what peoples favourite film genre was horror (with 7 responses) followed by Sci Fi (4 responses), Action (3 responses), Romance and Other (Drama and Adventure/ Sci Fi) which gained two responses as well. Lastly adventure and thriller had 0 responses.)

The last question asked what was it about that particular genre that made it their favourite. As there were a number of different genres there were a variety of answers. As we are making a horror film we will only focus on the responses by people who chose the horror genre.

Having looked at the responses to the questionnaire further it was discovered that the 4 horror responses where by men and 3 were by women.
