Course Overview
This program will help students to learn the nuances of media & entertainment industry. The curriculum will include management inputs enhanced with focused entertainment/media classes and real-world experiences. Course would enable the students to understand the latest technology used in the industry of Media & Entertainment as well as the future of it.Since, the industry is becoming increasingly ‘corporatized’, the course would also teach leaners about corporate culture, challenges and demands.
Employment PotentialIndia’s Media and Entertainment industry is expected to grow steadily over the next five years. The industry revenues are likely to exceed US$ 32.7 billion by 2019 from US$ 17.0 billion in 2014, growing at compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 14.0 per cent between 2015 and 2020.
In 2014, the overall Media and Entertainment industry was estimated at US$ 17.0 billion and grew by 0.7 per cent over the previous year. The largest segment, India’s television industry, continued its strong growth momentum led by subscription revenues, representing a year-on-year growth of about 13.8 per cent.
