About Dixie State University - • Dixie College – 1911. • State college in 2000. • Achieved University Status in 2012. • Offer more than 40 different BS degrees; also AS, AAS, Certificates
• Current enrollment: 8,600. • Located in St. George, Utah - 2 hours north of Las Vegas.
The Challenge -
• Enrollment growth happened in spite of our organized chaos. • Students at times received mailings multiple times or not at all. • Increased sophistication of competition's marketing. • Attempted to use the "Banner" recruitment module . L
Current State Desired State
The Problem -
• Disparate systems, emails, spreadsheets • One-size-fits-all communication plan. • Mass mailings at predetermined times. • Cumbersome & difficult for individual recruiters to reach out to their assigned inquiries.
• Tracking of students thru enrollment funnel? Not really.
The Solution -
• RFP in 2010 - 12 vendors reviewed • Enrollment Rx selected due to Sales Force platform and affordable pricing model.
• Implementation was straight-forward with minimal impact on IT resources
• Implemented in stages, with initial communication plans operational within three months.
• Currently in 4th year of usage.
The Results -
• Contributed to 47% increase in applications in the first year of implementation.
• Enrollment increased from 8577 in Fall 2010 (1st year) to 9086 in Fall 2011, or a 6% increase.
• For Fall 2014, 32% increase in admitted students over prior year. • Currently 22% more freshmen have enrolled than in prior year.
