OBJECTIVE 1

• Thoughtfully select color schemes that enhance your presentation display and support your presentation content

• Develop overhead transparencies and electronic presentations such as PowerPoint that supplement your program content, guide your presentation, are visually appealing, and motivate audience participants.

• Deliver a presentation using supplemental material such as overheads or slide shows in an effective manner, retaining the audience’s attention, and using visual display to reinforce program content.

At the end of this lecture, we would be able to:

• This point & the title will receive the most attention.

• Subsequent points will receive lesser attention.

• Final point will receive almost as much attention as the first point.

I. OBJECTS

Objects represent a physical display of an object on which the presentation is focused.

e.g. if my presentation focuses on the features of a pen, it would be ideal to carry a sample of pens for actual display.

This would help the audience to actually connect effectively to your words and the actual presentation

• Number transparencies• Transparencies in frames• Have blank transparencies & markers• Prepare handouts• Review the seating arrangement of the

audience

• Check equipment function & location• Sit in corners to test view• Focus projector• Be sure room outlets & switches• “Square” presentation slide
