MATTS PRODUCTION REVIEW For this assignment we were given a product that we hard to make an advert for my product was Nike. We did research to see what advertising techniques where used and most of them used sports and celebrity endorsement. Following on from been given Nike as our product we had to decide on production roles for each person in our group. Ben and Paulina were the directors and Patrick was in charge of our group blog. Nick and I took up other roles including camera man, actors and production assistants. We then had to complete all of the pre-production for the TV advert which included; Storyboards, Risk assessments, Location Recces, scripts, Production schedules and shooting schedules. Of these I complete the Risk assessments. After Pre-production had been finished we had to begin filming and decide to start filming our locations were outside and in the gym. In took us about 3 days to get all the shots we need because it was a very complicated advert. Most things went quite smooth but when we was filming none of the directors seemed to know what they was doing so it took more time than it should of. Me and Nick were actors and Paulina was the camera man. The advertising techniques we used were promise a benefit for my Nike advert because the advert said if you use Nike you will be a better sports person. The types of things I did was cutting up bits of the clips to make them the right length I put transitions I put in between clips so you could not see where I edited it and I put music over the top of it to make it more lively. I came up with my idea by researching already existing print adverts and they mostly just has the Nike logo on with just do it. So I decided to take a picture of some ones Nike trainers and do something different. We used Photoshop to make the print advert because it is by far the best for editing images.

MATTS PRODUCTION REVIEW

For this assignment we were given a product that we hard to make an advert for my product was Nike.

The advertising techniques I used on my print advert is lifestyle because it is clearly aimed at people who have an active lifestyle.

I decided on the product to advertise by writing a list of good products that are fairly easy to advertise on the radio I choses KFC because it is a very well knowing product and are good to advertise on the radio because it is a fast food and people who are on the road are all ways looking for something to eat.

The process I went through creating my script was base of already existing kfc adverts. I chose the music by the mood of what you actually get when eating the product. I choose the sound the sizzling sound affect to go with the burger because it is spicy.

It was hard to find the advertising technique used but you could say it was made up a bit of Compliment the Consumer and individuality because I say what I wanted in my meal by making my own and not using one that already exists.

I learnt a lot about advertising in this project form how it all starts on a piece of paper to filming and recording it. I really enjoyed been given the freedom of been able to go off and film without beaning restricted of what we can do. I learnt most about how to make and edit a advert using reaper which I was glad I learnt.

We did not have to overcome any difficulties during the project we all worked fairly well together and just got it done the only problem I had was using the recorder for my radio advert which was hard to overcome but we went to ask for help and found out what we were doing wrong.

If I could do this again I would change the jobs everyone did I did not think it was fair people doing jobs what they did not wont to everyone should have had a turn at each different thing to make it fair and so they know what to in that job because there was something different in each one.
