Road Trip

Your family is going on a road trip from Georgia to California. It takes you 8 hours to cross over each state. How long will it take you to get to California if you cross over 7 states?

Every four hours your family stops for 30 minutes of rest, food, and gas. How much time will be spent on stops?

Melting SnowmanOn Monday the temperature was 30 degree F and it snowed all day. You had a snow day off from school and built a snowman with friends. The snowman will melt when the temperature reaches 50 degrees F. If the temperature rises four degrees every day, starting on Tuesday, what day will the snowman be melted?

Thirsty?There are 6 3rd grade classes at your school. In each class there are 20 students. Throughout the day each student uses the water fountain for a total of 2 minuets. How much time is spent at the water fountain during the whole day for the 3rd graders?

Time for SchoolEvery weekday morning you wake up at 6:15 am and get ready for school. If you spend 10 minutes in the shower, 5 minutes washing your face, 15 minutes getting dressed, 10 minutes eating breakfast, 2 minutes brushing your teeth, 3 minutes packing your book bag, and the school is a 15 minute drive away. How long will your routine take? At what time will you get to school?
