Overview of Master of Science Course
• Full time programme, commencing September every year• Duration: 3 semesters (12 weeks per semester)• Workload: 60 credits per semester (10 credit is equivalent to 3
hours of lectures per week or 100 hours of student work)• Total: 180 credits
– 120 credits of core and optional taught modules– 60 credits major individual research-based project
• Pass mark for a module comprising part of a Masters course is 50%
• Masters awarded if both the taught and research stages are completed successfully
