time to be quiet, you can hear “the sound of a gentle whisper”1 of God’s voice speaking to your heart.

I don’t want to nap! I’m

not tired.

Jesus, I don’t want to nap, but I

don’t want to be tired tonight when Jimmy

visits.

“Children, obey your parents in the

Lord, for this is right.”2

It was nice to see Jimmy again. We

had a lot of fun. I’m happy I took a nap.

Yes, listening to Jesus always works

out best!

Can I go to bed

early tonight instead?

You need your rest,

What should I do?

The Hamptons are visiting tonight, so you probably won’t

want to go to bed early.

If you take a nap now, you won’t be tired when

your friend is here.

Even when we face disappointment, there are still things that can make you happy.

How about playing with your dolls for now, and when you’re healthy you can go outside again?

Jesus, I really wanted to play at the

park, but since I can’t, what should I do that

will still be fun?

Why don’t you ask Jesus if there is

something else you can do indoors that will

be fun for you?
