Making the necessary improvements to our work. We then set to work on improving our piece to the highest quality that we could reach within the given time scale. To do this, we planned how to refilm at times that would suit our actors. We also had to try and revolve this time around our other subjects and their needs. I found social media to be particularly helpful in this process as it allowed us to contact the necessary people and arrange the filming and editing times consequently. On the next slide is the schedule of how we achieved this.

Date Filming/planning/editing What we achieved

Monday 16th December.

Initial screening After our initial screening we made a detailed list of improvements that we had to make.

Tuesday 17th to Friday 20th.

Planning We spent the week before half term planning the improvements that had to be made and really preparing ourselves so that we would be able to promptly start filming and editing when we came back to sixth form.

Monday 6th January

Filming and planning We firstly planned the costumes for our characters that we felt needed improving from the initial screening. The main piece of mise-en-scène had to be the hat, which provided an American feel. Following this, we experimented filming Patrick in the alleyway in the new costume of a green jacket and a white shirt.

Tuesday 7th January

Filming We filmed Kell without the hat and a much less American feel was provided.

Wednesday 15th January

Filming To try and collect the opening footage for our film opening, we filmed the scene where Patrick washes the knife. This provided to look very good when we uploaded it and turned it into black and white with only the red blood standing out.

Thursday 23rd January

Editing We spend this date really bringing together all of our footage together, editing it and looking at what we still needed to film or refilm.

Monday 27th January

Filming To try and make ‘the boss’ character more mysterious, we refilmed the scene where Kell talks on the phone, framing his hands and hiding his face.

Tuesday 28th January

Editing We analysed all of our footage and put together everything that we had into a roughly cut video. We also made lists of what we had left to do.

Thursday 30th January

Editing This time was spent brushing up our final video and adding effects on it to make it the high standard that we were aiming for.

Friday 31st January

Editing Deadline day- We spent the last day really working hard on making our piece a high quality. We asked our peers to look at our work and give it feedback that we could work on. We felt pleased with our final piece and how all of our hard work managed to bring it together.
