Firstly, the blue and white colours used in the magazine cover suggest a slight cold theme which may be linked to the film.

The title of the film here is very unconventional. This can be seen in comparison with the word ‘Dark’ and the colour used, which also has a form of contrast.

The overall design of the magazine is quite poor. However, certain features are very clever.

The dark background and image help to provide contrast within design. This also links to the dark themes of the film.

The overall design and layout of this DVD cover is exceptionally good. Colours used throughout give the DVD cover a unique look.

The title of the film is simple but effective. The dark image of a bat behind gives off a dark theme that is represented within the film.

The main image, seen on the front of the cover shows the danger and intense nature of the story.

The most important quote used within the film is effectively placed. This is due to Batman looking out of the window to the quote, which is also high up and large. These themes may be seen throughout the film.

The darker colour scheme used within the design, shows how intense and fast paced the storyline is.

The simple, but effective slogan adds to the film’s dark and intense themes.

Throughout all of the DVD cover’s design, it all blends together. This can be seen as a film which consists of an interconnecting world.

The simple, one colour background shows how the world in which these characters live in is quite dark and sinister.

Each character in the poster is holding an item. This item could be quite iconic to each character’s nature and intentions.

Once again the title of the film is simple but effective representing the cold and dark story within the film..

The colour of the text here is a dark, cold blue which may be a representation of the film and its story.
