Magazine Styling • Makeup: In my magazine, generally, I think that I will use more dramatic makeup, possibly smoky eyes and bold or dark lips colours. • Hair: The hair styles on the models will be styled in curls or waves as I think that this provides a more intriguing and sophisticated style. • Clothing: The clothing I will use will be more formal and eclectic. This will set my magazine apart from the others as it is something which is different and more unique with the eclectic style, whilst still appealing to the general consensus with similar looks seen in other high-end fashion magazines. The style is also more likely to appeal to my target audience, young women, as they will want to stand out from the crowd – hopefully like my magazine. • Body Positioning: For my magazine I intend to have my model standing with a mid-shot. This is because I feel that when a model is standing they appear more confident, this makes my magazine cover more appealing as confidence is desirable for an audience to see. I have chosen to use a mid-shot as it equally shows the models face and fashion, a models face usually grabs the attention of the audience and the clothing gives the audience an idea of the type of style that the magazine is.
