• What will be the colour scheme of your production and why have you selected this style? What will these colours or combination connote? For the colour scheme of my magazine I will present it in a dark blue or possibly navy blue with a black backdrop in order to represent and connote seriousness, elegance and professionalism. These colours aren’t particularly bright or may not be considered ‘eye catching’ but are very subtle and elegant which is what may draw in customers to it.

• Why will these colours appeal to your target audience? These colours will appeal to my magazines target audience as the majority of the target audience will have some level and degree of maturity and serious so they won’t be interested in magazine with colours too bright, bold and even considered ‘childish’ which could put them off from the magazine.

• Possible Titles• Possible magazine titles could include ones such as ‘Is Hip Hop dead?’ which shows use of a theoretical

question. Another title could be ‘Revival of a genre’.• What names are you considering for your magazine? What do these names connote? • Possible magazine names could include ones such as ‘Real times’ which connotes a magazine which is of

relevance and real world issues and discussions relating to the Hip Hop genre. ‘Daily input’ could connote the fact that reader are receiving their ‘daily’ input of hip hop. ‘Hip Hop daily’ simply connotes that people are receiving

• Why will this name appeal to your target audience?• This name will appeal to my target audience as the magazine will be of relevance and interest towards them.

Story ideas• Story Ideas• What story ideas will be the main story for your magazine? What will be your secondary stories? How will

each of these appeal to your target audience?• The main story for my magazine could be an article on how Hip Hop has changed over the past decades and

years in terms of rap artists and lyrics used in songs and how the two compare to each other. • A second story could be where an old-school Hip pop artist such as ‘Jay-Z’ or ‘Dr.Dre’ etc could be interviewed

to discuss their thoughts on whether the Hip Pop music genre has changed for the better or worse over the past decades or if the music industry has changed as a whole.

• Possible coverlines• Coverlines for my magazine could include ones such as ‘Dr.Dre’s views and thoughts on Hip Hop now’. Others

could include ‘Looking back over the past 10 years’ or even ‘We discuss Hip Hop’s current state.• Fonts • Which fonts will you include for each different story? Explain your choices. • For the first story about ‘How Hip Hop has changed’, I’d use fairly formal colours and a font which connotes

importance and seriousness such as bold Calibri font in black which is simple yet effective and captures readers attention.

• The second story could possibly also use bold Calibri font but instead of black for this story, I’d use the colour red as a font as the colour red connotes importance and could also be used to bring across some sense of urgency to readers making them interested

• What other copy will appear on your magazine cover?• Who will the subject/model be for your magazine? What do

they look like? • The model on my front cover for my magazine will preferably be a

younger male model from the age of roughly 16 years old up to 25 years old.

• Describes the subject/model’s costume and make-up. How will this fit with their image and the article in the magazine?

Front cover• Describe the lighting scheme you will include and why you have made these decisions. • For the lighting scheme I will use a faded background and low lighting which amplifies the artists appearance

and makes them stand out more on page meaning that they’re the main point of focus on the cover. • Will any props appear significantly and why will they be used?• Props which are commonly associated with the Hip hop genre such as baseball caps, gold chains and designer

clothing items will be a common theme and appear regularly to give the impression that the person is ‘fashionable, cool and iconic etc.

• How do you anticipate your subject to look and pose (include reference to gaze). • I’ll anticipate my subject to look at the camera as if they’re staring directly at the audience in order to grab

peoples attention and to hold their gaze which could almost make them feel obliged to buy the magazine in a way. The pose will have to be one which is seen as confident, rebellious and independent where the model gives off the idea that he or she won’t listen to what others tell and simply ‘do their own thing’

• What will the background look like?• A greyish or dim shade of white almost to give off a fading light effect to amplify the models appearance and

make them the main point of focus.• Will any secondary images appear? Describe them and explain how they will relate to this edition of your

magazine. • No secondary images of yet will be displayed on the cover as I want to keep the main point of focus and

attention on the model and for readers to not be drawn away or distracted from other images or pictures which could be of interest to them.
