Magazine Article

This presentation looks at how I will make my magazine article about our

documentary of fast food.

Layout

• For the layout I’m going to have two columns. In the first column on the left, there will be writing with a small picture at the bottom left. On the right side there will be a big picture at the top which will take up half of the right column. That will then be followed by more writing.

Target Audience

• We are aiming this article and documentary at parents in particular, to show them what they are feeding their children when they give them fast food, and the impact this could have on their lives.

Interview Techniques

• We will ask quite serious questions as the topic is a serious one.

• The questions will be open questions so the interviewee will be able to give their own opinion on the matter as well as factual information.

• An example of a question would be: Do you think fast food should be aimed at children, given the rise in childhood obesity?

What you will specifically include

• We will include facts about fast food and the effect it has on young children.

• How it has helped increase the rise in obesity.

What other parents think about fast food – whether they give it to their children and whether they think it’s a good idea or not.
