PRESENT SIMPLE

Concept:

This is a verb tense used to express actions that take place in the present and with a certain frequency , that is, every day, every morning , etc.

Interrogative form:Do/does+ subjet+ Action verb in infinitive + Complements? Negative form: Subjet+Do not o don't/does not o doesn't + Action verb in infinitive + Complements.

EXAMPLES:

He write a novel.

They sing in a church

PRESENT CONTINUOUS/PROGRESSIVE

Concept:

It is a verb tense used to express actions that take place in the present, in the moment which is rendering the phrase . The Present Continuous forms with this verb (to) be more action verb (ing) .

Interrogative form:Am/Is/Are+ Subjet+ action Verb (-ing)+ Complements?  Negative form: Subjet+am/is/are+not+action Verb (-ing)+ Complements.

EXAMPLES:

Linda is sleeping in my room.

I'm reading the newspaper.

PAST SIMPLE

Concept:

It is a verb tense used to express actions that took place in the past, without excessively import the last time in which they occurred. To construct the negative and question forms of the Past Simple , we need the help of the auxiliary verb (to) do , this time last time , DID .

Interrogative form:DID+ Subjet + action Verb infinitive+Complements? Negative form: Subjet + did not/didn't+ action Verb infinitive+Complements

EXAMPLES:

I worked for Citibank.

She was a top model.

PAST CONTINUOUS/PROGRESSIVE

Concept:

Is a time when verbal actions that took place in the past are expressed , but in a particular moment . This tense is formed with the past of the verb (to) be ( was or were ) + the action verb ( -ing ) .

Interrogative form:Was/were+Sujeto+ action Verb infinitive+ (-ing)+ Complements? Negative form: Subjet+ Was not o wasn't/were not o weren't+ action Verb infinitive+ (-ing)+ Complements 

EXAMPLES:

I was driving my car last night

She wasn’t speaking english yesterday

FUTURE SIMPLE

Concept:

It is a verb tense used to express actions that will occur in the future, no matter the time too . It is formed with the particle will + infinitive of action verb without (to) .

Interrogative form:Will+ Subjet+ action Verb infinitive + Complements? Negative form: Subjet+ will not/won't+ action Verb infinitive + Complements.

EXAMPLES:

John will call in five minutes.

I´ll play the guitar tomorrow.

FUTURE CONTINUOUS

Concept:

It is a verb tense used to talk about what is happening at any given time in the future . It is formed with the particle will + be + the action verb ( -ing ) .

Interrogative form:Will+ Subjet+ be+ the action verb (ing ) + Complements? Negative form: Subjet+ will not/won't+ be + the action verb ( -ing )+ Complements.

EXAMPLES:

She will be studying French.

They will be sleeping in the hotel

PRESENT PERFECT

Concept:

It is a verb tense used to express actions that have taken place in the past, but in a very recent past . This tense is formed with the present of the verb (to) have, or you have + the past participle action verb.

Interrogative form:Has/Have+ Subjet+ past participle action verb + Complements? Negative form: Subjet+ has not o hasn't /have not o haven't + participle action verb + Complements.

EXAMPLES:

I have been to Chile.

 She have cooked a cake.

PAST PERFECT

Concept:

Is a tense that expresses actions that have taken place in the past, but in a less recent past that is expressed in the Present Perfect . It is what is called the last of the past (past in the past ) . It is formed with the verb (to) have en past, had + past participle of the action verb.

Interrogative form:Had+ Subjet+ past participle action verb + Complements? Negative form: Subjet+ had not/hadn't+ participle action verb + Complements.

EXAMPLES:

I had eaten many candies

He had gone out early

FUTURE PERFECT

Concept:

This indicates a future tense action occurred before another future also . It is formed with the particle will + have + past participle of the verb of action.

Interrogative form:Will+ Subjet+ have+ participle action verb +Complements? Negative form: Subjet+ will not/won't+ have + participle action verb +Complements.

EXAMPLES:

Richard will have decided to say bye.

Will she have worked in this local?
