LOVE IS AN INTENSE FEELING OF AFFECTION AND CARE TOWARDS ANOTHER PERSON… A PROFOUND AND CARING ATTRACTION.

LUST IS A STRONG DESIRE OF A SEXUAL NATURE.

PSYCHOPHYSIOLOGICAL ASPECT

An intense feeling of deep affection.

Any intense desire or craving for gratif ication.

Lust usually means sexual desire.

DEFINITION

Faithfulness, loyalty, confidence. Wil l ingness to make sacrif ices for another. Working at sett l ing differences. Able to compromise so that either both win or at least give the other person's opinion a chance.

Desire, passion, acquisit iveness, intense emotions.

SYMPTOMS

Commitment to another. Genuine intentions. Think about the other person's feelings before acting.

Enjoyment of a short-term, mutually pleasurable relationship.

PERSON TO PERSON

A deep affection, contentment, confidence. Partners communicate and negotiate appropriate expectations. Requires a lot of self lessness and polite assertiveness. You are loving your best fr iend.

Passion, joyousness, strong desire, intense and sometimes diff icult feel ings of need.

Security, peace, a solid partnership which can provide the ideal atmosphere to raise confident, secure children.

Unsatisfied lust results in sexual frustration, increased rel igiosity and superstit ion, emotional r igidity. Lust satisf ied in a mutually beneficial way results in pleasure, creativity, passion, zest for l i fe.

Contentment, stabil ity.

EFFECT

Partnership. Can lead to codependency if not tempered with self -awareness and self -guidedness.

Sometimes can be the f irst stage of love, and can lead to lasting friendships, romantic or otherwise. When not tempered with compassion and empathy, however, i t can lead to emotionally damaging behavior.

INTERDEPENDENCY

It wil l deepen with the passage of t ime.

Highly variable –

it may deepen or dissipate with the passage of t ime.

TIME PERIOD

This is permanent commitment and stays throughout l ife.

Temporary commitment that lasts only long enough to fulf i l l desire.

COMMITMENT

Love is unconditional and the real deal.

Interested in only what can be done for self-pleasure; lust may develop into love, but it is lust until that time.
