What is Workforce Development?
• Can be government led endeavour, usually through a strategy, tasked to ensure that there is a workforce for a particular sector;
But increasingly;
• A more localised strategy for an organisation to ensure it has the workforce it needs.
Defining Workforce Development (WfD)
To ensure that an organisation plans to have:
• The required workforce in place;• At the right time;• With the right abilities and aptitudes;• To achieve the organisation’s goals.
