Location Report for my music video

Birds eye view of location where my filming will be taking place

This is the main part of the priory school and this is know as the main building. This is where the secondary school children where children aged

from 11 to 16 learn.

This is the second main part of the priory school and is know as the sixth form block. This is a type of collage and is aimed at 16 to 18 year old. This

is the part of the school that I attend. This is the expressive art block and is where I will be filming my video, the expressive art block is split up into several different areas. Firstly there is the dram side with has a couple of changing

rooms, a sound booth and a state of the art drama studio, and the second bit is the music block, The music block has 6 different practice rooms, each one being sound proof,. It also has one large music rehearsal room and a state of

the art recording studio which cost around £20,000.

There is a couple of reasons why I think this is the perfect place to recording my music video. The first reason why this is the perfect place to film my video is that it has all the facilities I need to make a professional looking

video and a video that will make it look convincing that we are actually a band and that we are actually recording a track for a new album. The second reason why this is the perfect location to film my video is

because all my friends will be at the school so it will be really easy for them to get to the recording studio, and back from it to go to there lessons. Another advantage to this is that it will allow me to easy call them back if I discover that I need to film something again. And the third and last reason why this ideal is because if I need to record anything more or record anything again on another day, it will be easy for me to arrange it again and be

easy for me to get my actors back to the recording facilities.

sounds and is also used as an equaliser. It manipulates sounds that come into the recording

studio for example the user can make items louder or quieter make them more high pitched or

low pitched etc. It can also be used as an equaliser to balance the sounds out, and balance

the instruments against each other and make sure there is a right amount of bass and treble ect

This is the computer in the recording studio, and this is the area where the music is recorded on to with such software as garage band and logic.

Also included in this area is a set of speakers which are used to play the music, and also

included in this area are controls to that are used to turn down the volume on the computer and are also used to talk into the people in the recording room. This is really the control the

centre of the recording studioIn this cupboard the microphones are stored, these microphones will be used in my video to make the

video look convincing and make it look as professional as possible.

On this rail there are two synthesisers which will be used during

my video to make it look like the band are experimenting with chords and notes and solo’s.

This room is great for recording my music video for several reasons. The first one is because firstly the recording studio is so close to my school it will allows me and my actors to quickly get from lessons to the recording studio to start recording and secondly if I need to record anything again it will not be too much

hassle to shoot any bits again. The second reasons why it is so perfect is because the recording studio has so many professional items that it will make my video look as professional as possible.

These wall are soundproof and this means we will not disturb the other lessons that will be going on in the music block, if there was some way of show the audience that they are soundproof for example

someone standing at the door shouting but the band inside can not hear them this would make the

video look more professional. This is the only way into the recording room, I know this sounds really stupid but it is a very

important aspect as I will have to consider this in my health and safety sheet as there could be up

to 5 people in this room at one time and this could create a fire hazard if a fire bell was triggered as

those five people may want to rush out at one time which could block up the door wayThis is the window that looks in from the recording

studio to the large recording room this is a key aspect as I want to use this window in several

aspects in my recording. And will allow me to keep an eye on the expensive equipment like the amps

and microphones while I am in the recording studio.

There are several reasons why this is a perfect room to record my music video as firstly it is a big room so it will be able to fit me plus all my band members in and secondly it

has all the equipment that I will need to shoot a professional looking recording studio for example the drum

kit, guitars and amps.
