Location Analysis I have chosen to go with a more urban style of location. For my front cover however I am going to have my artist in front of a white screen as I feel this is the most appropriate background for my front cover because mostly all of the magazine front covers that I have researched followed the same them of having a white background. Another reason I have chosen a white background is because the white background allows me to act more freely with the artist so that I can crop him out have and have a solid white background or any other colour that I may chose. However for my contents page I have decided to go down a different and more unique route in the fact that I have decided to place my artist in front of a brick wall as I believe this has a more urban theme and goes well with the genre and its codes and conventions. Another locational theme that I am thinking about using is if I have my artist pose in front of a car because I feel this will go well with the codes and conventions because you mainly here rap artists boast about how much money they have. An image of my rap star in front of a car will show of the fact that he is successful in what he does and that he can spend a lot of money on cars so I am considering whether or not to have an expensive car behind him for the double page spread. If not I will stick to the most commonly known them of a double page spread in rap music magazines that is just a white background.
