I decided that I would add a picture of a Fresnel underneath the instruction to check if there is the correct amount within the rig. I think this would be helpful because if the person running through the maintenance isn’t quite sure what one would look like there will be a clear image for them to be able to check much more efficiently and independently.

I decided that I would add an additional column for any additional comments that the person checking the maintenance might need to write down for further check up or to make note if the step has been completed and fulfilled.

When making this comment box I made note that it will need to be at a much bigger scale to make sure that there was enough room for all note that need to be made whilst checking through the maintenance.

I have also decided that I would add a picture of both a G-clamp and Safety Chain when talking about collecting them in the step by step guide. This would then ensure that the correct equipment was being checked and the correct equipment was being found if any were vacant. It would also help the person reading through the step by step guide to complete the maintenance check more efficiently and independently.

I have also decided that I would add a picture of a Barn door fitted to the Fresnel when talking about collecting them in the step by step guide. This would then ensure that the correct equipment was being checked and the correct equipment was being found if any were vacant. It would also help the person reading through the step by step guide to complete the maintenance check more efficiently and independently because they will know what exactly they are looking for.

I decided that I would like to add a picture of a Fresnel with a correct Gel Frame in it underneath the instruction to check if all accessories of the Gel Frames are attached correctly. I think this would be helpful because if the person running through the maintenance isn’t quite sure what a gel frame correctly attached looks like there will be a clear image for them to be able to check much

I need to make sure that people can write if the task is completed successfully within the comments column.

GC4: Original Records

I had to run through my checklist and make sure that it works for other people easily and efficiently. This is picture evidence of me running through my checklist and checking through the lights maintenance to see if everything was correct and safe. When doing this I had to run through each point and tick whether the step by steps where complete and if they weren’t follow the instruction to fix the problem and find an easy solution. When running through this checklist I found many different ways I could re-adjust my checklist to make it more organised, simple and clearer for different audiences to be able to understand and complete. I then scribe all my adjustment down before I corrected them.

I decided that I would like to add a picture of a Fresnel with a correct Gel Frame in it underneath the instruction to check if all accessories of the Gel Frames are attached correctly. I decided that I would like to add a picture of a light hung in the rig with the lamp holder closed. I think this would be helpful because if the person running through the maintenance isn’t quite sure what a correctly closed lamp holder will look like they have a clear image for them to compare back to and be able to check much more efficiently and independently.

I also want to add a photo of the dimmer plug to help them understand what the dimmer desk looks like correctly patched and help them work quickly and correctly.

I have also decided that I would add a picture of both a DMX Cable and a 32 Amp plug when talking about checking if they are plugged in and attached correctly in the step by step guide. This would then ensure that the correct equipment was being checked and the correct equipment was being found if any were vacant. It would also help the person reading through the step by step guide to complete the maintenance check more efficiently and independently because they know exactly what they are looking for.

I decided that at this point I would like to add very specific pictures of each step by step because it is talking about operating the desk and they might not understand the technical vocabulary therefore they can follow the pictures as well. This will ensure that the maintenance check is being completely correctly.

On my Last page of the checklist I have made loads of notes of what I will need to add after my checklist is completed. I would like to write a couple of sentences explaining how they will then need to clean all the light if they have completely broke with help from a professional technical helper and how the cleaning schedule will then improve the light further if need be. I think this will improve my checklist because it will help give further advice if the lights still are broken after going through the whole maintaining list other than seeking technical help. If they would know how to do so.

I will also need to add a space at the bottom for the person who is using the check list to then fill in their signature and date of completion because then I can keep a record of everyone who has checked and maintain the lights so incase they weren’t maintain correctly I can see who will need advice on the process and also if I

need to find out who completed the checklist on a specific date I will have a clear record of everything. I need to include the date of when they have completed this as well incase I need to refer back to when it was last checked and also to prove if need be to anyone about when it was last maintain with the specific date.

I would also like to include a space where they can fill in when they think it will next need to be maintain to hand in. This will be helpful because it will create organisation with the same gap of time period between each check to create order and also security to be positive that all the lights are present and safety hung and working in great condition. It will also let the manager or the next person to maintain correctly know when they need to check the maintenance of the area.

Finally within my adjustment to my original plan I would like to change the layout of my technical maintenance checklist. I would clearly add a column box as described before to help the person checking the maintenance write down further check up or to make note if the step has been completed and fulfilled but also I would like to change my layout to landscape instead of portrait. This will be helpful and more organised because I will be able to make the description and solution and comment boxes much wider so that each box can contain more information clearly but also so that I can fit more steps onto one page so that it won’t be as long.

Correcting all of these weaknesses it will not make my checklist much more organised and easier to use efficiently and effectively and be more independent when using it knows matter of your knowledge. Everything else about my checklist is great to keep for example: the organisation and layout of the chart and also each explanation and step is clear and descriptive so that they can all be completed correctly; the yes and no check boxes are useful because they can tick through each step to make sure that everything is completed and finally the solution column I have made all the steps

clear so that they know exactly what to do if something were to go wrong or a problem might occur when going through the step by step guide and checklist.

After making all of these changes this is my new and improved completed checklist.
